Transformations structurelles et gains de productivité du travail : Comparaison internationale

Résumé : L’objectif de ce travail est de mettre en évidence l’existence d’un processus de transformation structurelle au sein des trois régions étudiées ainsi qu’au Maroc. Pour ce faire, nous appliquons l’analyse en composantes principales à partir d’une base de données contenant neuf secteurs d’activités. Aussi, nous allons nous pencher sur le calcul des gains de productivité en les décomposant en une composante intra sectorielle (within) et une autre relative à la réallocation de la main d’œuvre entre les secteurs (between) qui présentent des niveaux de productivité différents. Cette méthode va nous permettre de déterminer si le processus de transformation structurelle est réducteur ou bien encourageant la croissance.

Abstract : The aim of this work is to verify the existence of structural transformation process for the three regions studied as well as in Morocco by applying the principal component analysis on a database containing nine sectors of activity. Also, will look at the calculation of productivity growth by decomposing it into an intra-sectoral component, and into another one relating to the reallocation of labor between sectors at different levels of productivity. This method will determine whether the process of structural transformation is reducing or enhancing growth.
